Tour de France 2008
The 2008
edition of the “Tour de France” calls in at several towns and villages near
the campsite. These villages are all well in reach of the campsite.

Kayak or
canoe
The various rivers in
the area are perfectly suited for kayaking or canoeing. If desired we can
make your reservations for a kayak trip. This way you are sure there is a
boat available and besides that you obtain a favourable discount. Most trips
are for half a day, but longer trips are also possible for the more
energetic. These kayak or canoe trips start on several places along the
river Aveyron. A real must for children aged 6 years and over.
Riding
Our neighbours’ children’s farm offers the possibility for horseback riding
for both beginners and also for the experienced horseman, at reasonable
prices.
Water
The recreation area ‘Vère-Grésigne’, situated ten kilometres east of the
campsite, consists of a large 7 hectares water surface. This recreation lake
has a large open air swimming pool with water slides. Also, little sailing
boats, canoes, kayaks and pedal boats are for rent. There are also tennis
courts and a mini-golf course.
Golf
In the immediate
surroundings a number of 18 hole golf courses can be found, such as the
splendidly situated course of ‘Lasbordes’ near Albi and ‘Golf de Florentin’
in Gaillac. They vary from beautiful and costly to ordinary and inexpensive.
For all these golf courses you do not need to be a member.
Car Treasure
Hunt
After the
success of this rally in previous years, new treasure hunts are organized
for the 2008 season. The rallies take the contestants to the most beautiful
spots of the area. Discover the splendid views, behold the Pyrenees, answer
the questions and try to put the pictures in the correct order. Fun
entertainment for young and old.
Angling
For anglers the nearby recreation park of ‘Vère-Grésigne’ has a special
fishing pond. Moreover the river Aveyron and its tributaries provide ample
angling possibilities.
 Micro-light
Flight
For the dare devils there is micro-light aerodrome near Montauban, where you
can fly as a passenger in a micro-light plane for a flight over the
beautiful scenery. A really marvellous experience! It is perfectly safe for
children. The maximum weight for the passenger is 100 kilo.

Zoological Park
A few kilometres east of the city of Toulouse there is a safari park,
where wildlife from all over the world can be spotted from your car. Keep
your windows closed when driving among the lions and rhinoceros! We don’t
want to loose a costumer! In the zoo itself a daily, spectacular sea lion
show is performed, and besides the monkeys and parrots there is also a
children’s farm for the little ones.

Adventure park
Bungee jumping, climbing, abseiling, everything that belongs to a real
survival trip, it’s all here. And for the smaller children there is a mini
survival track. Gives you an adrenaline rush!

Atlantis
12.000 Square metres of swimming pool with water slides, a water
playground and anything you can imagine at a leisure pool.
