THE SURROUNDINGS
In the surrounding area
are many ancient villages and towns, which has even led to the official
status of ‘European heritage site’. Each day you could visit one of the
typical French markets in the vicinity. Just a few kilometres from the
campsite is a 8 hectares recreation area with a natural swimming-pool with
slides, a fishing pond and boats to rent. For those who like to play golf:
one of the finest golf courses of Europe is situated only a thirty minutes
drive away from the camp site.
Walking and cycling start
right in front of our gate. Kayaking or canoeing on the river Aveyron or the
Tarn, visiting the caves along these rivers, splendid walks through the
centuries old forests of the Forêt de Gresigne, all in close range of the
campsite. In clear weather the snow-covered summits of the Pyrenees can be
seen. Toulouse, the fourth city of France, is within an hour’s reach.
Montauban and Albi are two other cities well worth visiting. Doctor,
dentist, pharmacy and supermarket are all in Monclar, ten minutes away from
the campsite.
