WALKING AND CYCLING

At “Le Fiscalou” you can have a naturist stroll through the 14 hectares of
our woods. Outside the campsite the gently rolling hills provide excellent
possibilities for short or longer walks or bicycle rides. The climbs are
seldom too stiff or too long, but the views are always splendid. The
landscape is extremely varied: the grass covered hills alternate with
sloping corn fields, sunflowers and vineyards. Small farms, picturesque
villages, pleasant little cafés and restaurant are a feast to the eye. A lot
of walks or cycle rides start directly from the entrance of the campsite. At
a few kilometres distance by car there are many more possibilities. As a
special service customized walks can be printed in our office. The guest
determines the length of a walk and the area, and receives a printed copy of
the walk or cycle ride. Be sure to bring your handhold GPS!
Forests
In
het nabij gelegen 600 hectare grote loofbos Forêt de Sivens zijn meerdere,
heel duidelijk aangegeven wandelroutes.
Caves

A number
of interesting caves can be found just a few kilometres away from the
campsite. These caves house bats. Some caves have centuries-old engravings.
Visiting the caves is particularly exciting for children. These caves and
caverns are at Les Marnières and at la Pyramide. The cave of ”la Madeleine”
near Bruniquel can be visited with a guide for a small charge. In July and
August the caves are open on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Gardens
The
gardens of the ‘Jardin des Paradis’ in Cordes-sur-Ciel definitely deserve a
visit. There is a lovely flower mosaic, an unusual vegetable garden and a
water lily pond. This garden changes each summer at the designers’
inspiration. The city of Montauban offers walkers a number of beautiful
parks, among which the ‘Jardin des Plantes’, and the splendid rose garden of
the François-Mitterand park, with its collection of 16.000 botanical species
and over 950 species of rose bushes.
The town
of Giroussens hosts the ‘Jardins des Martels’, a gorgeous English country
garden with thousands of flower species, skilfully laid-out water gardens,
an exotic conservatory and an animal park. These gardens are within 20
minutes by car from the campsite. |
